Tropical Fish Tanks – What You Need to Know
Jan 27th
Tropical fish tanks are a great addition to a home or office. It is time to get started, and you have some important, and fun, decisions to make. There is a stunning variety of saltwater and reef fish to choose from, the ones you have seen in many tropical fish tanks.
Buying Your First Fish Tank First things first. You need a tank. The best advice is to buy the biggest tank you can. Of course, space and money are the usual constraints, but many find they enjoy their fish so much they wish they had purchased a larger tank! Buying another tank means spending more money, so getting the biggest one you can may save you money down the road. Tropical fish tanks come in many sizes, but the smallest tank to consider would be a 30-gallon tank. This size will provide swimming space for the fish and sufficient surface area for adequate exchange of oxygen into the water. Of course you can always add aeration equipment to your tank, but if you want to add more fish in the future, you will want an adequately sized tank.
Tropical fish tanks are either acrylic or

Choosing Proper Cleats
Jan 27th
Cleats are sports shoes with outsole traction devices. They provide support, stability, and traction while playing. Though most cleats have these qualities, specific cleats are to be used for different sports. Even if you play all sports, you should still get a separate pair for each. It is therefore important to make sure that the cleats you want to buy are appropriate for the sport you play. Softball is one of the most common and popular game that requires cleats. Proper cleats for this game can easily be purchased with the following considerations.
Softball cleats are usually manufactured in two types: detachable and molded. Detachable cleats are the cleats commonly used by more experienced players. As the name implies, detachable cleats’ spikes are removable. They can be removed from the outer sole and replaced with other studs depending on the surface of the playing field. The studs can either be made with rubber, metal, or hard plastic. Metal cleats are often used on hard playing grounds while rubber and plastic are adopted for turf playing fields. Though adaptable for any playing field, detachable cleats are harder to maintain and clean. As opposed to the detachable cleats, the studs

Bowl Turning – Getting Started
Jan 27th
In the winter of 2010 I decided to pursue a private study of bowl turning. I read every book I could find and watched YouTube videos over and over before I purchased my Nova DVR XP lathe, a 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch Crown bowl gouge, a parting tool, a large scraper, a Makita right angle drill, belt sander, orbital sander, grinding wheel, Sthil chainsaw, buffing wheel, sanding discs, sand paper, CA glue, walnut oil, lacquer, beeswax, rags, wood to build a heavy duty mounting surface for the lathe and sand bags to stabilize the table. I never took woodshop nor did I have any previous experience turning bowls. I had built a 2 story log cabin in Canada and always nurtured a love for wood and trees.
I ordered most of my turning equipment from the wood turners catalogue and have been amazed ever since on how the tools and equipment lived up to my expectations and arrived lightning fast.
At the same time that I built my lathe table (per Nova DVR specifications downloaded from the internet), I set out to find sources for logs. I placed free ads on craigslist asking for large logs which

Tips on How to Consolidate Bills
Jan 27th
Do you think that it’s about time to consolidate your bills? Can you feel your different debts creeping up on you?
If that is the case, then you should consider the fact that there are many ways for you to consolidate bills.
But what is consolidation?
Debt and bill consolidation is when you acquire a singular debt in order to pay off your many bills. This way, you unify all of your debts, with their varying interest rates, into one debt with a single interest rate.
If you consolidate bills, you remove a lot of complications from paying your bills.
First of all, if you consolidate bills, you remove the hassle of having different interest rates. This makes payment easier for you.
If you have bills that have high interest rates, you may not want to continue having that interest keep compounding on you. If you consolidate bills, those high interest rates will be replaced by more reasonable ones. This would give your pockets a break.
(And we all know how much our pockets need breaks.)
Another is the time period. If you consolidate bills, you buy yourself more time to pay your obligations. This means you can find

My Year On A House Boat
Jan 27th
Like many young people, I graduated from college with no clue of what to do next. Sure, I had a degree, but what did that really mean anyway? I still had a craving to head off on my own and see the world. I wanted to explore and put the books away for a while. I came up with the best plan ever: I would move to Amsterdam and live on a house boat with an artist friend I had met during a semester of study there.
My parents were not too thrilled with the idea, but I think they also knew that I couldn’t do much else with my degree in Creative Writing. So they eventually let me buy a ticket to Amsterdam and head off to live on a house boat with someone they had never met. Looking back on it, it feels a bit crazy and really surprising that they let me go. I guess they must have realized my need for adventure and even perhaps the good that would come from a year of living on a house boat.
I absolutely loved each day I spent on the house boat with Ana, my

Neutropenia
Jan 27th
Neutropenia is a disorder of the circulatory system. It occurs when someone’s nuetrophil granulocyte count becomes inordinately low. A type of white blood cell, nuetrophil granulocytes usually constitute about fifty to seventy percent of white blood cells in the circulatory system. These act as a first line of defense against invading bacteria. When nuetropenia occurs, the body becomes susceptible to these invading pathogens. Symptoms of the disease include fever, mouth ulcers, diarrhea, chills, shortness of breath, and a sore throat.
It is usually agreed that there are four classifications of neutropenia. This is done by measuring what is called the “absolute neutropenia count,” or ANC. If a microliter of blood contains less than two thousand counts, it is termed general neutropenia. With this condition, there is an above average chance of acquiring an infection due to decreased white blood cells. This is the least severe of the classifications. Mild neutropenia occurs when the ANC count drops below the fifteen hundred level, and yet is above the one thousand count mark. Moderate neutropenia occurs between one thousand and five hundred ANC, and severe neutropenia is marked by any ANC below five hundred. If one is diagnosed with severe

How profitable is the Internet e-currency exchanging business?
Jan 26th
There are two kinds of currency exchanging businesses today on the Internet. The most widely known is the Forex market where you can trade one world currency for another. The less widely known is the e-currency exchange market, where some companies and individuals make money by exchanging one e-currency for another.
Notice the difference. On the Forex market people make money speculating on the future price of currencies like Euros and Dollars. On the e-currencies exchanging business people make money directly when they exchange the e-currencies. Based on this fact it can be said that Forex is more risky but also more profitable than e-currency exchanges.
We will refer on this article to the e-currency exchanging business alone. Let’s start by describing what e-currencies are. There are many different kinds of e-currencies today on the Internet. Some of the most widely known include www.paypal.com, www.e-gold.com, www.e-bullion.com and www.netpay.tv.
So, how does his market works? Simple. Let’s say that you have e-gold and you want e-bullion. You visit the website of an online exchanger and request to exchange the funds. The exchanger keeps a percentage of the money to be exchanged. For example let’s say that he keeps

The Perks of Global Warming
Jan 26th
Marya Mannes once wrote, The earth we abuse and the living things we kill will, in the end, take their revenge; for in exploiting their presence we are diminishing our future. Obviously Ms. Mannes preferred the status quo – health, sanity, logic, blah, blah, blah. Why? Green House Roulette is so much more intriguing.
In the country, weather affects everything. For five years Western South Dakota has been gripped by drought. Water and hay are vanishing. Farms and ranches are blowing away. While the government bails out victims from hurricanes and says, South Dawho? our cattle are pissing dust mites. Fortunately, things are looking up.
There is some good news! Those pesky glaciers are finally melting off! Last year an eight-nation report estimated an area of Arctic icepack the size of Texas and Kansas is gone. For those who are geographically impaired, that is an area bigger than a breadbox.
At first, news of devastating global climate change might seem a bit of a bummer. Then I read an LA Times article and had a change of heart. The article began with the usual gloom. Greenlands ice cap is melting. Our coasts will flood from rising seawater. Inuit hunters

Your Holiday Money Could Cost You Dear
Jan 26th
Lisa Taylor from moneyfacts.co.uk comments on the options available to travellers when spending overseas and the costs that consumers should be but are sometimes not aware of.
Whether planning a summer holiday or jetting off for Easter, consumers are keen to check the costs when it comes to choosing the hotel, flights, insurance, and airport parking, but tend not to use the same level of consideration when choosing the cheapest option when it comes to their spending money.
With each provider charging varying fees which are not immediately visible and often not fully appreciated by the consumer, it is a potential minefield to find the best deal, and this becomes much worse as we consider the outside influence of exchange rates.
Consumers have three main options, the traditional travellers cheques and currency, debit cards or credit cards. Amex has also launched into the prepay card arena, with a card designed for overseas travel, but the rest of the industry is yet to catch on.
Traditional cheques and currency are still popular with many travellers and offer a competitive market place for providers. Commission free deals are becoming easier to find particularly for currency and currency travellers cheques, where there is

What are digital picture frames and how do they work?
Jan 26th
A relatively new product in the digital imaging industry is what has become known as the digital picture frame. These clever devices use a flat-panel TFT (usually just referred to as LCD) screen to electronically store and display digital photos, which can be transferred directly between the picture frame and your digital camera. They can be powered by either batteries or an AC adapter power supply that plugs into your mains wall socket, and are capable of storing between thirty and more than a thousand digital photos, depending on the frame, the size of the files, and the capacity of the memory card being used. While most people are probably aware of the numerous advantages of digital photography, there have always been a few areas where modern digital imagery simply didn’t offer what people wanted out of their photos. With only a slightly wider profile than a normal picture frame, a digital picture frame retains all the benefits of digital photography, combining them with the convenience and most of the features people liked about conventional paper photos.
Digital picture frames solve most of the remaining problems people have about digital photography in a simple, easy to use, and cost
