I think my home care worker is letting my sister get away with robbing my father. I can’t figure out exactly what is going on, but stuff keeps disappearing from my dads place. He entered into long term care a year ago and we had to try out a few care givers before we settled on Maria. She seems to be the best fit for our family. Now we are not new to home care, we had a home health worker for my grandmother years ago. Before she went into the hospice we discovered that grandmas worker had been throwing out things we wanted. Grandmas dementia had set in and she was telling the worker to toss the stuff. Now my sister complains that her kids broke their can opener and voila dads goes missing. Her husband breaks her good casserole dish and now I cannot find dads. It is all a bit too fishy for my liking.

I had just returned from school and was standing below my apartment speaking with my friends about the social event in the evening. The area where I stayed was house to many corporate and government offices. A gentleman walked up to us and asked us where the benefits agency office was located because he had been searching for the last one hour and couldn’t find it. We stared at each other because after staying in this neighborhood for all these years we had never heard of this name. We then asked the gentleman what work did he have at that office and he replied that it was something related to his pension. We replied that we know of an Employment service office which dealt with pension and maybe it was the same office he was searching for. The gentleman replied in the affirmative and said that this was their new name. We later learnt that there were many people who search the office with its old name and lose valuable time. So we put up a notice in our neighborhood informing them of the change.
